This movie starts with a depressed man’s voice (named in the credit ‘Narrator’)
and shows his life that he doesn't like his work and get no reward from work. The
only thing he cares is putting “Perfection” into his apartment with fancy furniture.
One day on his business flight, he meets Tyler (Brad Pitt) who is a soap
seller. He is totally different person
compared to Narrator. He likes to fight with people, because it makes him feel
alive through pain. They become friends and also friends. They finally make a
Club which is called ‘Fight club’. It becomes a huge systematic group. However,
as Narrator and Tyler bond through violence, a weird situation between them
becomes more complicated and show how Narrator overcome the situation.
On the other hand, I was also thinking that ‘Were they actually with FREEDOM?’. In this movie, none of the Fight Club members
grows stronger or freer because of their membership which also can be another shackle
to them. I still don’t know if this movie tells us that we have to get rid of
our Shackles or there is no way to get rid of our Shackles. It is a thought-
provoking movie that keep confusing us. Watch it ! if you would like
to think deeply to understand the story and characters instead of watching movie have no meaning at all.
